AYBT is an Honor Company with Regional
Dance America and is hailed as the "hidden jewel" of central Indiana. This not for profit organization is preparing
its 30th season and is dedicated to promoting the study, performance, and appreciation of dance. AYBT performs
works in the repertoire from the classics, modern, contemporary, musical theatre and jazz realms. Former dancers have gone
on to perform with major ballet, modern, and contemporary companies, Broadway shows, theme parks, regional and national theatres,
and cruise ships. Several are professional choreographers, owners of academies, and faculty members of universities. The company
moved into their $1.5 million dollar state of the art dance facility, the Richardsonian Romanesque depot. It was
renovated to restore it to its original condition and was dedicated on October 3rd, 2003.
