Nell Germaine Green, a graduate of the Butler University Dance Department,
teaches modern technique at the Portland Ballet in Maine. While attending Butler University she received awards for
her performances with Butler Ballet as “The Dreamer” in Night Dances and “Adela” in The Cloistered
Moon. Throughout her student years her talented dancing was recognized through the award of scholarships for summer
training programs offered by the Lou Conte Dance Studio, Steps on Broadway New York, Broadway Dance Center New York, and David
Howard Dance Center New York. In recent years Ms. Green’s choreographic works have been performed in Maine, Colorado,
Indiana, and The Republic of Georgia, including Connecting Parallels (2004), First Movement (2002), The Green Reel (2001),
The Better Angels of Our Nature (2000), Raven (2000), and If Not Now (2000).
