opportunity to perform with Joffrey Ballet in the Nutcracker at

free performances are offered to the public at the Missouri Botanical
Garden in conjunction with KFUO
Classic 99 ’s Rhapsody
in Bloom. Enjoy the splendor of the surroundings in
the historic gardens of Henry Shaw, which serve as a perfect backdrop
for the beautiful dancers of Alexandra Ballet, performing Variations
from Le Corsaire, Mazurka from Coppélia, Pollaca Guerriera, and

It is the spectacular return of The Nutcracker at the Fabolous
Fox, this time with the world-acclaimed
Joffrey Ballet. Local dancers representing numerous area ballet
schools will paricipate in this production, and have been reahearsed
by the talented artistic staff of Alexandra Ballet. We join the
esttemed Joffrey
Ballet Company in this splendid holiday tradition. Alexandra

a charming love story, add a lively musical score, exquisite dancing,
a touch of magic, and an eccentric doll maker, and what do you get?
Classical ballet’s greatest comedy! Chaos ensues as Dr. Coppélius
and his unusually lifelike doll unwittingly bring discord to Swanilda
and Franz’s budding romance. Guest artists Kristi
Capps and Anthony
Krutzkamp, from the Cincinnati Ballet, will dance the roles
of Swanilda and Franz. This three-act ballet is choreographed by
Marek
Cholewa, Associate Professor of Dance at Butler University in
Indianapolis, Indiana and a graduate of Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory
